The Friends of the Wind Point Lighthouse, a 501c3 non-profit organization, was founded
to educate the public about the history of the Wind Point Lighthouse.

We use a variety of methods to teach about the Lighthouse:

  • Tower Climbs provide visitors with the opportunity to climb the 11 stories to the top of the Wind Point Lighthouse
  • The restored Fog Horn Building where a Museum is maintained that tells stories of Racine and Great Lakes maritime history plus a gift shop
  • The restored Fuel House which tells the story of the historic role it played in supporting the Lighthouse
  • A Memorial Brick Garden on the Lighthouse Grounds along the shore of Lake Michigan that supports our educational efforts
  • Educational programs with local schools, tour groups, Scouts and other groups

We encourage you to learn more about becoming a member of the Friends of the Wind Point Lighthouse.
